Kia Pride Hatchback Clams

kia kombiFirma Kia prezentuje bardzo szeroką ofertę samochodów, which includes many models, putting the Korean company among the most attractive importers. The two station wagons in the Kia range are based on urban and mid-range vehicles (B i C). They are based on the Pride and Clarus models, which are derived from the former Japanese Mazda cars. First – Pride – Mazda 121 from years 1988-1991, second – clams – Mazda 626 produced before 1997 r. Of course, Kia has made some changes, but technically and technologically, these vehicles are no different from their predecessors. Mazda is famous in the world for the reliability of its products. So Kia cars have an excellent pedigree, which is confirmed by a three-year period of mechanical warranty.
The Pride Kombi is a development of the Pride hatchback model, but not limited to changes to the top, the rear part of the body. The car is elongated by 370 mm, which resulted in a significant enlargement of the trunk (with 205 do 384 dm3). The relatively small Pride Estate can therefore boast a luggage space that is larger than in many small cars of the most popular segment. However, the finish leaves much to be desired. The felt lining is placed directly on the boot floor plate and the spare wheel, there is no rigid cover. There is also no shelf covering the luggage. It is offered as an option as a roller shutter or a folding shelf, but you have to pay extra for it. The handle on the inside is missing, that allows you to close the lid without getting your hands dirty. The side walls of the trunk are covered with plastic and have no storage compartments. The width of the case is limited by quite large wheel arches, and the boot floor runs 190 mm below the bottom edge of the loading opening. A small inclination of the rear window gives a lot of additional space above the shelf. The rear seat backrest can be divided and folded symmetrically. The non-split rear seat cushion can also be folded down.
The Kia Clarus Kombi is about 50 mm longer than its saloon counterpart. Therefore, the difference in boot capacity in favor of the station wagon is small, only 46 dm3. However, interesting arrangement of the luggage space draws attention. Two children can be successfully transported on an additional sandwich hidden in the floor, which in practice makes the car a seven-seater vehicle. The trunk is nicely finished with soft carpets and plastic. There are no side storage compartments here either, but the inside grip has not been forgotten. The significant inclination of the rear window limits the use of the space above the shelf. The shelf itself is made in the form of a roller blind, easily removable. The floor is located at the height of the loading edge. Large wheel arches limit the width of the luggage compartment. The asymmetrically divided rear seat has a foldable backrest and seat cushion, even without unfolding the seat, the floor is completely flat after folding the backrests. This makes it possible to transport items over two meters long. When folded | in the seat, the maximum length of the luggage compartment is 1660 mm.
